Purpose of establishment：
Hokkaido Forestry Research Institute as general study
and guide center for Forestry puts head office in
Bibai-shi (4 faculties and 12 sections) and
other 3 branch stations in Donan (Hakodate-shi),
Doto (Shintoku-cho), and Dohoku (Nakagawa-cho) for
appropriately corresponding to environmental
conditions and Forestry conditions, performs
practical study and technological development
adapted to natural land conditions in Hokkaido.
