Ibaraki National College of Technology with two departments, Mechanical Engineering (quota : 80) and Electrical Engineering (quota : 40), was legally established by the proclamation of revising the law of national school establishment.
Temporary school building was established in Higashiishikawa, Katsuta City.
Katsumi Mano, Professor of Ibaraki University, was installed as the 1st President. Temporary administration office was founded at Higashiishikawa, Katsuta City.
The College opening ceremony and the 1st entrance ceremony was held at Katsuta Prefectural Technical High School.
Construction of the administration office building and the dormitory building (Nanyu-kan), were completed.
