Purpose of establishment:
Precision engineering is essential to today's
high-tech products. Technologies resulted from
precision engineering is indispensable to large
value-added production, energy-saving technologies
and future industrial progress. The scope of
precision engineering is so versatile that it is
necessary for students to learn electronics, optics,
control engineering and so on in addition to
fundamentals of mechanical engineering.
To meet this needs, the Department of Precision
Mechanics provides a curriculum in which students can
afford to learn such wide field of academic
disciplines. The students will be able to enjoy
learning up-to-date technologies through experiments
by use of advanced instruments and/or practices with
high-speed computers. Moreover, in senior research
project, the students will have many opportunities to
discuss the future technology and consider the future
of their own together with friends and faculty
members.
