One of the major issues we face in this century is how to realize an innovative and progressive society with finite resources. The Graduate School of Environment and Information Sciences (EIS) was established in 2001 to direct graduates in interdisciplinary fields of environment and information, including natural, artificial, information and social environments to broaden their ways of thinking and equip them with expertise.
The Graduate School seeks to prepare researchers and expert practitioners who are literate in science and technology, who possess the expertise and techniques to contribute to the resolution of various global environmental issues, and who can utilize advanced information systems to a high degree. Education fields at the Graduate School are not only highly integrated, interdisciplinary and advanced in nature, but are also characterized by significant changes in social needs over time.
