【課題】後生的グリケーション最終産物(RAGE)受容体Vドメインのアミノ酸配列に相当するアミノ酸配列を有する単離されたペプチドを提供すると共にそれを用いた治療方法を提供する。【解決手段】アミノ酸配列A-Q-N-I-T-A-R-I-G-E-P-L-V-L-K-C-K-G-A-P-K-K-P-P-Q-R-L-E-W-Kを有する単離されたペプチドを調製する。これはRAGEのVドメインのアミノ酸配列に相当するアミノ酸配列を有する。前記ペプチド又は物質が、後生的グリケーション最終産物受容体とアミロイドβペプチドとの相互作用を阻害することができ、治療組成物としては、前記ペプチド又は物質が、後生的グリケーション最終産物受容体とアミロイドβペプチドの相互作用を阻害するのに有効な量を含有する。【選択図】なし
