【請求項1】中性子減速材中に、熱中性子吸収材と位置敏感型熱中性子検出器を配置した減速型中性子スペクトル測定器であって、前記中性子減速材は、中性子減速材の中性子入射側に、水素密度が低く中性子の減速性能の低い物質からなる減速材を配し、中性子減速材の中性子入射とは反対側に、水素密度が高く中性子の減速性能の高い物質からなる減速材を配してなる、減速性能の異なる複数の種類の減速材からなることを特徴とする、減速型中性子スペクトル測定器。
