Experience equipment, Facilities, etc
Research area (1)：
Elementary particle/atomic nucleus/cosmic ray/space physics
Neutron Science Laboratory (KENS) belongs to Neutron and
Meson Science Laboratory (NML), High Energy Accelerator
Research Organization. Neutron and Meson Science
Laboratory realizes multi-purpose use of proton beams
accelerated at 500MeV, and consists of Neutron Science
Laboratory and Meson Science Laboratory (MSL).
Neutron Science Laboratory conducts research activities
with pulsed neutrons on wide areas of research ranging
in basic physics, physical properties, biological
sciences, and high polymer chemistry. In Meson Science
Laboratory, researches on basic physics and physical
properties with muon beams are conducted.
Protons accelerated by a booster-synchrotron enters
a 12GeV proton-synchrotron and is used for physics
experiments in East and North Counter Halls.
The experiment of injecting neutrinos via North counter
Hall into Super Kamiokande in Kamioka Cho, Gifu
Prefecture, is now being conducted.
