Accelerated electrons to an energy level of 8 GeV is
User environment and conditions：
transported to a storage ring, and synchrotron radiation
is produced by using bending magnets or insertion device,
while an energy level of 8 GeV is maintained. Produced
synchrotron radiation is transported to areas in and
out of a storage ring through Beamline. It is used for
research activities of various fields such as materials
science, Earth science, medical and life science with
the methods of spectroscopic analysis, diffraction and
diffusion, and imaging.

User procedures and method：
Research proposals are invited twice every year and are submitted to JASRI.

If you publish your research results after the experiment, there is no charge for use of the SPring-8 facility. If you do not disclose your results, there is a fee of 60,000 yen per hour (480,000 yen / 8 hours) for beam use.
