Overview:
In order to simulate the flood runoff phenomena in
low-lying areas, flood routing is performed by the
unsteady flow model based on the equation of
one-dimensional unsteady flow by Hayase & Kadoya (1976).
The fundamental disadvantage of this flow model is that
the computer simulation is time consuming. As the water
level changes very slowly in drainage channels, the
unsteady flow in drainage channels is simplified to a
non-uniform flow. The analytical method based on the
equation of non-uniform flow is the diffusive tank model
which is proposed by Hayase & Kadoya (1993).
