KITASATO Takeshi Recorded Wax Cylinders

Recording of languages from various areas was made on
User environment and conditions：
the wax cylinders by a linguist, KITASATO Takeshi
(1870-1960), in early Showa era, for study of the
origin of Japanese language. They are valuable
linguistic materials, which include Ainu, dialects from
various areas in Japan, Ryukyu, Taiwan and languages of
Philippines such as Tagalog. In 1986, contents were
re-recorded on cassette tapes by Hokkaido University,
Applied Electric Research Institute.
One can listen through cassette tape.
