This collection contains materials, which ware brought
back by the so called 1st, 2nd and 3rd Otani Expedition,
organized by 22nd Monsyu of Nishi Honganji
(Highest Archbishop) Kyojyo Shonin, early in the 20th
century. It contains about 9000 items of several fields,
such as old manuscript of Buddhist scriptures found in
Tonkoh, social economic materials, wooden letter, rubbed
copies of epigraphs, dry plates, old coins, cloth peaces,
botanical specimens. Among these materials, two letters of
李柏尺牘稿 are appointed as the important cultural property,
which are known as 李柏文書.
