This Library is the collection of the head of Hori
family, Tsuwano Machi, which managed large-scale
mining from the earl Edo Era and was famous for the
contribution to the development of industry and
education of the local society since the Meiji Era.
The library is composed of manuscripts of real records
and block -book of reading books in the Edo Era. These
materials were mainly obtained from lending libraries
in Tsuwano Machi.
