【請求項1】 ハウジング内に収容された羽根車を回転させて血液を圧送するための人工心臓ポンプであって、 前記羽根車に形成された翼の板厚が、前記ハウジングの内壁面側となる翼端部の形状を、前記板厚の二分の一を半径とする半円形状の円弧、先端部の流れ方向両側を面取した三角形状、または、前記三角形状の先端角部を丸めたR形状のいずれかにして、前記翼端部において所要板厚より小さな値に設定されているとともに、 前記羽根車に形成された翼の根元に血液成分の最小径より大きな値のコーナーRを形成したことを特徴とする人工心臓ポンプ。
