miRBase is a database for published microRNA sequences and annotations, which include mature miRNA sequences (indicated by miR), and hairpin structures predicted by sequences that are precursors for miRNA (indicated by mir). A variety of search methods can be used, including by keyword, genomic position, cluster, expression data, and user-provided sequences. Furthermore, these sequences and annotations can be downloaded.
