【請求項1】 質量%で C:0.35〜0.70%、 Si:0.50〜2.50%、 Mn:0.10〜1.00%、 Cr:0.30〜3.00%、 Mo:0.50〜1.50%、 Al:0.001〜0.1% を含有し、残部がFe及び不可避不純物から成る高力ボルトであって、ボルト頭部からねじ部までの部位における内部金属組織の90体積%以上が焼戻マルテンサイト組織であると共に、当該部位の引張強さが1700MPa以上であり、次式(1)で表される軸部形状パラメータSが0.85以上1.25未満の値であることを特徴とする高力ボルト。 S=Ab/Ae ・・・ (1) (式中のAbは軸部の有効断面積、Aeはねじ部の有効断面積を示す)
