【課題】昆虫系統を凍結保存する技術を提供する。【解決手段】ショウジョウバエ又はミバエなどの昆虫の始原生殖細胞を流動パラフィン又はシリコンオイルの疎水性液体中で昆虫の胚からキャピラリーで始原生殖細胞を採取し、得られた始原生殖細胞をエチレングリコール及びスクロースを含有する氷晶防止剤と混合し、前記始原生殖細胞の懸濁液を得る工程と、前記懸濁液を液体窒素を用いて-100°C以下まで急速冷却する工程と、を備える、昆虫系統の凍結保存方法。【選択図】なし
