【請求項1】光源と、前記光源から出射された直線偏光又は前記光源から出射された光から取り出された直線偏光を、x軸方向成分とy軸方向成分とに分ける偏光分離部と、前記偏光分離部で分離された直線偏光のx軸方向成分とy軸方向成分とを交互に遮断する光遮断部と、前記光遮断部を通過した直線偏光のx軸方向成分とy軸方向成分とを同軸に合成する偏光合成部と、前記偏光合成部から出射された直線偏光を円偏光に変換して直線偏光成分を含まない円偏光を生成する偏光変換部とを有する円偏光照射器。
