Overview:
dbAMP is a database of anti-microbial peptides (AMPs) which are naturally encoded by genes and generally containing 12-100 amino acids. It provides information of antibacterial activities, physical-chemical properties, target species, structures, interacting proteins, links to external databases etc. It includes two categories of AMPs: experimental AMPs from published articles or public databases and predicted AMPs from public databases. Users can browse using following keys; peptide sequences, organisms, structures, targets and references.
