【請求項1】 妊娠初期に相当する期間にある被験反芻動物の子宮頸管から陰門までの生殖器から採取された粘膜上皮細胞を含む試料を用いて、当該粘膜上皮細胞におけるIFN-τに応答して誘導される分子の発現量を測定する測定工程、及び当該発現量と妊娠していない同種の反芻動物の対応する粘膜上皮細胞における前記分子の発現量とを比較することで被験反芻動物の妊娠を判定する判定工程を含む、反芻動物の妊娠を判定する方法。
