主観的で曖昧である触覚を情報化し、技や感性が共有できれば、医療・福祉、産業の高精度化や効率化の拡充、快適性や安心、QOL(Quality of Life)の向上をもたらし、持続的・発展的かつ人に優しい社会形成に繋がります。本研究では、皮膚特性や運動制御といった各人が持つ触知覚の内的特性に注目することで、触覚の正体を捉え、触覚を調整できる感覚支援技術を開発し、技や感性を伝える触覚コミュニケーションの支援技術基盤の確立を目指します。
