Research overview：
物質表面のスピン状態を原子分解能で観測する走査プローブ顕微鏡を開発し、これを用いて導電体ならびに絶縁体表面のスピン計測を行います。さらに表面の特性を生かした新物質層の創製をめざし、この評価法を活用します。またこの評価機の開発途上でスピン状態の保存の問題を手掛け、スピンデバイス、スピンメモリーへの糸口を見出します。
