Research overview：
植物の生育には鉄が必要ですが、多くの不良土壌では、植物は鉄を十分に吸収することができません。植物は鉄欠乏に応答して、種々の遺伝子を発現誘導することによって鉄を利用しようとしますが、その根本となる鉄欠乏シグナルと鉄センサー分子の実体は分かっていません。本研究では、これらの実体を解明することにより、植物の鉄欠乏応答の全貌を明らかにするとともに、植物生産性の強化に向けた新たな技術と知見を提供します。
