Research overview：
石油や天然ガスの開発では、大量のメタンガスが放出されており、その量は、日本の温暖化ガスの総排出量に匹敵します。本研究では、メタン放出の原因となっている水処理プロセス(ガスフローテーション)の代替技術として、随伴水中のコロイド状オイルの新しい分離技術を開発します。このため、BTX、C5+、あるいはブタン等の低沸点の炭化水素を効率的に捕捉する吸着材を開発し、その耐久性を向上させ、量産化技術の確立を目指します。
