Research overview：
最近、成体哺乳類の網膜において神経新生が起こる事が明らかになってきました。しかしながら、神経新生の効率は非常に低く、現状では、変性した網膜の自己修復はまだまだ夢物語です。本研究では、遺伝子導入によって網膜幹細胞からの神経新生効率を高めるための方法論の確立を目指します。また、成体網膜における神経新生から新規の視覚回路形成に至るまでの一連のプロセス全てを可視化して詳細に解析します。
