Research overview：
走査型トンネル顕微鏡(STM)発光分光、短パルスレーザー励起電子トンネルによる時間分解STM発光分光、近接場光学顕微鏡による観測などの顕微法を駆使して、固体表面の極微細構造、吸着分子系、孤立した単一微粒子などの新奇な電子・光物性を探索します。これらの手法によりナノ構造の物理・化学現象の位置、時間、エネルギーを同時に高分解能で計測することを可能にします。この研究の成果は半導体デバイスの評価やDNA、タンパク分子の構造決定などへの応用が期待されます。
