Research overview：
アポミクシスは受精を介さずに種子を形成する現象であり、母親のクローン種子を得ることができます。本研究においては、独自の転写因子研究基盤を活かして、モデル植物において人為的にアポミクシスを誘導する技術を開発し、それをイネやダイズ、トウモロコシなどを含めた多様な作物に適用することで、地球規模での作物生産性の増大とそれに伴う二酸化炭素削減をめざします。
