Research overview：
光電場の振動を数周期分しか含まない極短パルス光(可視~中赤外、テラヘルツ)を用いて、光と物質の相互作用の中でも、最も劇的で複雑な現象“光誘起相転移現象”の解明に挑みます。光が直接あるいは、相互作用を介してドライブする電荷、スピン、格子の素過程を明らかにし、さらに、強相関電子系物質の電子的性質を光で自由自在に変化させる方法への道を拓き、光でのみ可能な物質相の創成や光源開発の方向性を与える成果を目指します。
