本研究交流は、有機化学と生物科学の融合を目指すものである。具体的には、日本側は有機化学側の研究を、スウェーデン側は生物科学の研究を分担する。両国の研究チームが相互補完的に取り組むことで、膜蛋白質の脂質への挿入メカニズムに関する新知見の獲得が期待される。
