ひっ迫した環境問題に対して、地球との共生と持続的な発展をめざしたクリーンな社会システムの実現に関する研究を対象とするものです。 具体的には、資源のリサイクル、有効利用を概念とするLCA評価の高い生産システム、低エネルギ一・資源消費、効率的なエネルギー・資源の利用を基盤とする環境低負荷型の社会/生活/都市/住宅実現のための実証的・システム的研究を中心に、環境汚染の計測/評価/制御のための革新的な技術開発なども対象とします。
