私たちヒトは植物の高い再生能力を利用して生活を豊かにしていますが、どのような分子機構が再生現象で働いているのか、理解の途中にいます。本研究では、植物細胞の分化全能性や多能性発揮に関わる低分子化合物をメタボローム解析やスクリーニング手法によって単離し、植物の組織や胚の再生における役割を明らかにします。得られる知見を応用し、再生が困難な有用植物の組織培養効率を上げる手法の開発を目指します。
