実空間コミュニケーション、ヒューマンインターフェース、メディア処理が融合した、見て・触れる知的な情報環境の構築を目指します。すなわち、実空間の触覚情報の取得と理解および触空間の伝達と人への能動的働きかけを可能とし、人が自然環境で所作し行動しているような感覚で、遠隔コミュニケーション、遠隔体験、疑似体験を可能とし、デザインや創作などの創造的活動を実世界と同様に行える人間調和型の「さわれる情報環境」を構築します。
