Research overview：
酸素発生型光合成バクテリアである藍藻には、硫酸多糖が特異的に存在します。私はあるモデル藍藻種の硫酸多糖依存性バイオフィルム形成と硫酸多糖合成・制御系を明らかにしました。そして、環境中の多様な藍藻バイオフィルムの形成や機能に硫酸多糖が重要な役割を果たすと考えました。そこで本研究では、非モデル種を含む複数の硫酸多糖蓄積藍藻種を対象として形質転換系や機能解析手法を確立することで、その解明を目指します。
