Research overview：
大気中の二酸化炭素濃度の増加や温暖化など、地球環境は急速かつ大きく変化しています。本研究は、将来の地球環境において最適な光合成・物質生産システムを持つ植物の創出を目的とします。野生植物の持つ環境適応能力を利用するアプローチと、誘発突然変異体を高効率でスクリーニングするアプローチにより、将来の地球環境での生産向上に関連する遺伝子を探索します。さらに、遺伝子組換えの手法に頼らず、自然変異・突然変異の掛け合わせから高効率系統の選抜を行う手法を開発します。
