Research overview：
膜に組み込まれたタンパク質の「写真を動画に」することが本研究の目標です。光学顕微鏡を用いて、ダイナミックに変わる各部位のコンフォメーションと機能の関係を明らかにしたいと考えました。そこで、膜タンパク質とその基質に目印の蛍光分子を結合し、タンパク質が働いている最中の3次元での向きを1分子でリアルタイムに観察します。研究対象としてまず、複数の状態の結晶構造が明らかにされているCa2+-ATPaseを選びました。
