Research overview：
多くの陸上植物の根には菌根菌が共生しており、土壌中のリンなどの養分を効率よく植物体へ供給しています。また個々の植物は、これら菌根菌の菌糸を介して”共生ネットワーク”を構成しており、種々のストレスに対する抵抗力を高めています。本研究は、菌根菌共生に必須な宿主遺伝子のクローニングとその機能を解明するとともに共生変異体の系統的な表現型を解析し共生ネットワークの全容に迫るものです。本研究で得られた知見は、より高効率な共生能を植物に賦与し、生産性の向上に寄与するものと期待されます。
