Research overview：
カエル腎管に発現する新規核内因子Xsal-3を単離し、さらにマウスSall1を単離しました。10個のzinc フィンガーを持つSall1は後腎間葉に発現し、かつこのノックアウトマウスは腎臓を完全に欠損すること、その異常は後腎発生の極めて初期の段階で生じることを見いだしました。本研究では、Sall1を中心として腎臓発生の分子機構を解明すると同時に、その応用を目指します。
