微生物の中にはプラスチックの一種であるポリウレタンを食べて生きてゆけるものがいます。これらは特殊な酵素を分泌してポリウレタンを分解します。本研究では、微生物の持つ様々なポリウレタン分解酵素を修飾、改変して、新しいプラスチック分解酵素を創ります。
