Research overview：
生物多様性の宝庫として知られるサンゴ礁生態系は、近年世界各地で衰退が報告されています。沖縄・慶良間海域では、サンゴ白化現象とオニヒトデ大発生により、サンゴ群集が壊滅的となりました。本研究では、サンゴのダイナミクスを記述する数理モデルを構築し、サンゴ群集の存続可能性と移植による人為的回復の方法を検討します。また、今後予想される地球規模の環境変動に対するサンゴ群集の応答を予測します。
