Research overview：
北アジアを中心とする永久凍土地域で、森林火災やパイプライン建設などによる影響を受け、永久凍土の大規模融解が進行しています。そのために永久凍土地域が温暖化効果ガスの主要な供給源になりつつあります。そこで二酸化炭素とメタンガスの発生量を観測により定量的に把握し、併せてその発生量の抑制技術を開発し、温暖化防止への具体的な対応策の確立をめざします。
