Research overview：
本提案では、ペタワットレーザーを用いることで、キロテスラ級の磁場同士のリコネクションを発生させ、その強烈なエネルギーを高速イオンに変換する新しい量子源の原理実証を目指します。研究期間中の目標は、(1)磁気リコネクションによるメガ電子ボルト級イオン加速を実証する (2)磁気リコネクションによるイオン加速を中性子源や医療用イオン源等へ応用するための可能性を検証する、の2点です。
