原子核遷移の共鳴周波数を基準とする周波数標準「原子核時計」の実現に向けて、Th-229(トリウム229)をイオントラップに捕獲し、その量子状態をレーザーにより制御する新しい技術を開発します。同時に、原子核レーザー分光という全く新しい技術の異分野への応用も模索します。
