本研究では、アミロイドーシス発症の分子機構を、蛋白質の動的立体構造や物性に基づいて原子レベルで解明します。これにより、関係する疾病の治療基盤の提供に止まらず、蛋白質フォールディング機構の原理的解明、ゲノムにおけるアミロイド原性蛋白質の予測、アミロイド原性蛋白質を材料とするナノテクノロジーの開発など、多くの分野の開拓と進展への貢献を目指します。
