宿主生物によって同一反応を触媒する酵素の遺伝的背景や動力学的パラメータが異なることがあるのはなぜでしょうか?本研究は、動力学的パラメータのひとつで酵素と基質の親和性を示すKm値に注目し、触媒化学の性能評価手法を用い本問いに答えることを目指します。さらに得られた知見を応用して、有用物質生産系に適した酵素を設計するための指針を与えることを目指します。
