Research overview：
ポストゲノム時代で重要となるタンパク質構造解析においてはタンパク質の高品質結晶化技術が不可欠です。本研究では、フェムト秒レーザーを用いた結晶核発生、及び溶液攪拌による大型高品質化という、新しい原理の結晶化技術を高度化し、タンパク質完全結晶創成システムの実現を目指します。これにより、従来困難であったタンパク質の活性中心にある水分子や水素の位置の同定がX線構造解析や中性子線回折法で可能になります。
