私たちは、日々、様々な感覚情報や記憶に基づいて行動します。このような行動に至る意思決定は、脳内でどのように形成されているのでしょうか? 本研究では霊長類の眼球運動をモデルに用いて、前頭葉内部の神経回路が情報を統合し眼球を動かす指令を出す様子を明らかにしていきます。特に、最先端のイメージング技術と分子生物学的手法を霊長類に用いることにより、脳の高次機能を神経回路レベルで理解することを目指します。
