Research overview：
細胞分化は、幹細胞や前駆細胞が、特定の機能や形質を持った固有の細胞へと変化する生物の基本的現象であり、ES細胞(胚性幹細胞)は、体中のすべての細胞に分化できる万能の幹細胞と考えられています。ES細胞を用いて構築した新しい試験管内分化誘導システムを応用して、本研究は試験管内だけで細胞分化を再現し、ゲノムワイドなトランスクリプトーム解析、遺伝子機能阻害実験を組み合わせて、その全体像を包括的に把握することにより細胞分化のメカニズムを明らかにするとともに、新しい再生医学の開拓を目指します。
