本研究では、アフリカで喫緊の課題となっている農薬に焦点を当てて研究を行う。南アフリカ、ザンビア、ガーナからヒト/動物/環境試料を収集し、現場での農薬の毒性をメカニズムベースで解明する。アフリカにおける農薬の毒性効果を体系的に把握した初の国際調査である。
