Research overview：
濃緑色単細胞微細藻類であるスピルリナの水中における効率的な酸素発生型光合成機能に着目し、スピルリナ由来の葉緑体あるいは光合成膜を固定した電極を用いて、水と二酸化炭素を作動媒体とし、太陽光エネルギーで発電しながら二酸化炭素を削減します。さらに低炭素燃料の代表でもあるメタノールを同時に生産できる革新的な光電変換系の構築を目指します。
