Research overview：
脳の神経細胞間のシナプス伝達の強さ(シナプス強度)は常に一定ではなく、外界刺激に応答して変化します。この柔軟な変化によって脳は記憶・学習・情動など重要な機能を果たし、またこのメカニズムが破綻するとてんかんや認知症など脳機能の異常が生じます。本研究では、脳内の速い興奮性シナプス伝達を担っているAMPA型グルタミン酸受容体と独自に発見したその制御因子群に着目して、シナプス強度を決めるメカニズムを明らかにすることを目指します。
