Research overview：
真核生物ゲノムの本体であるDNAは、複雑に折り畳まれ染色体を形成し核内に収納されています。遺伝情報を完全な状態で保持し子孫に受け継いでゆく為には、細胞分裂時に染色体が娘細胞へと正確に分配される事が必要不可欠です。本研究では、染色体分配制御における機能性RNAおよびRNA結合性タンパク質の機能解析を行い、「RNAによるゲノム安定性維持」というRNAの新規機能を明らかにします。
